Reported Stabbing Being Investigated By Enfield Police

Enfield police said a man who took $60 out of a Webster Bank branch claimed he had been robbed and stabbed.

ENFIELD, CT — Police are investigating a reported robbery and stabbing Thursday night outside a local bank.

At 11:03 p.m., Enfield police responded to the Webster Bank branch at 50 Freshwater Blvd. with a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, police found a man with two small stab wounds to the abdomen, Enfield Police Chief Alaric Fox said.

The caller claimed he had taken $60 out of the ATM and was approached by a man who stabbed and robbed him. The victim was taken to St. Francis Hospital, Fox said.
