Robert B. 'Bob' Heim Sr., 75; Retired Aircraft Mechanic; U.S. Army Veteran Who Lived in Enfield
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 19 with the funeral Mass scheduled for Monday, July 20.

Robert B. ‘Bob’ Heim Sr., 75, of Enfield, loving husband of Elizabeth “Betty” (Kasperan) Heim entered into Eternal Rest on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born June 28, 1940, in Stafford Springs, CT the son of the late Arthur and Genevieve (Loftus) Heim.

Bob enlisted in the United States Army in June of 1959 and was honorably discharged in May of 1962. He retired in 2010 after 30 years with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft where he was employed as an aircraft mechanic. Bob was an avid golfer and member of the Cedar Knob Men’s Club and a faithful parishioner of Holy Family Church.
Bob was known to many as a hobbyist. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an amateur photographer. After retiring Bob’s greatest joy was traveling to his grandchildren’s sporting events. He enjoyed watching his granddaughter Emma participating in junior golf, watching his granddaughter Brooke’s swim meets and watching his grandson, Dylan’s baseball games.

In addition to his wife, Betty to whom he was married 50 years he is also survived by his two children, Robert B. Heim Jr. and his wife, Janet of Suffield, CT; Kimberly Michaud and her husband, Mark of Boynton Beach, FL: his three grandchildren, Emma Heim, Dylan and Brooke Michaud; his brother, John Heim of Middletown, CT; a brother-in-law, George Kasperan and his wife, Terri of Tolland, CT; sisters-in-law, Kathryn Linnell and her husband, Michael of Enfield, CT, Mary Mullen of Vernon, CT, Ann Dulude and her husband, Robert of NJ and Sue Heim of FL and several nieces and nephews.
Bob was predeceased by three brothers, Lloyd, Arthur and his wife, Joyce, and Carl Heim; a brother-in-law, Robert Mullen.
Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Sunday, July 19, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. A funeral procession will gather on Monday, July 20, at 9 am at the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 am at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Rd., Enfield. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Patrick’s King Street Cemetery.
