Ruth E. Hunt, 86; A Former Enfield Resident Who Worked in Daycare for More Than 30 Years
A memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday, May 11.

Ruth E. (Schug) Hunt, 86, of Enfield, died Saturday (May 2, 2015) at Evergreen Health Care Center, Stafford.
Born in Manchester, on January 20, 1929, daughter of the late Frederick and Agnes (McSweeney) Schug, she had lived on Cape Cod for 12 years and prior to that for 34 years in Enfield.

Ruth was a daycare provider for 32 years and was chosen by The Hartford Courant for an article on an example of good quality daycare. Ruth loved children and cared for some of them for several years. Ruth was a parishioner of Holy Family Church. She enjoyed quilting, swimming at the beaches of Cape Cod and being with her family.
She leaves three children, Mary-Ellen Archer and her partner, Ron Remy of Lexington, SC, David Hunt of Marlborough and Noreen Milvae and her partner, Alan Filiault of Southwick, MA and; a brother, Robert Schug and his wife, Kathy of Wethersfield; two grandchildren whom helped tremendously with her care, Robert Milvae Jr. and William Milvae, both of Enfield.

She was predeceased by a sister, Elvira Warzecha and her son-in-law, Robert Milvae Sr.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 11th at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Road, Enfield. Burial will follow at Hazardville Cemetery.
