Saint Martha School National Junior Honor Society Celebration

Saint Martha School honors its 15 new members of The National Junior Honor Society

Fifteen students from Saint Martha School in Enfield, Connecticut were inducted as new members of the National Junior Honor Society in a ceremony held in the Church of Saint Martha.

Members were selected by the chapter’s faculty council for meeting high standards of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship.

Students inducted were: Marisa Cyboron, Megan Emerson, Gianna Gilmore, Lillian Jaeger, Abigail Lawlor, Caroline Levinskas, Jack Logan, Cole Miller, Diya Mistri, Victoria Parent, Gina Perkins, Ayleen Rowan, Ethan Sirard, Cassidy Thompsen, and Kallianna Zaugg. In the top photograph, they are surrounded by the current members of the NJHS as well as Father Robert Villa, Pastor, and Mrs. Chrisie Gonzalez, Principal.

“We are very proud to recognize these outstanding members of our student body. National Junior Honor Society members are chosen for and expected to continue their exemplary contributions to the school and community,” said Amy Dawley, chapter adviser. She is in the second picture, along with Mrs. Chrisie Gonzalez, principal, at the NJHS table with a lighted candle representing each of the five high standards.

The Saint Martha chapter has been active since 2016. Each year the chapter sponsors several service projects for the school and community. The National Junior Honor Society ranks as one of the oldest and most prestigious national organizations for middle school students. There are chapters in more than 7,500 middle schools and, since 1929, millions of students have been selected for membership. NJHS is a program of the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
