School Day Hours Altered in Enfield

A winter storm warning is in effect for northern Connecticut beginning at 8 a.m. Wednesday.

ENFIELD, CT — All Enfield public schools, Stowe Early Learning Center, parochial schools, and Head Start will follow the early dismissal schedule with lunch on Wednesday, March 21. Afternoon preschool classes have been canceled. All after-school activities, Park & Recreation and Enfield Adult Education classes have been canceled. Enfield Child Development Center and ERfC School Age Centers will remain open.

All 11th grade students will still take the SAT starting at 7:26 a.m., and will be dismissed from school at 12:20 p.m. Students will receive an opportunity to grab a lunch prior to dismissal.

All 9th, 10th, and 12th graders will not need to attend school. If students choose to attend school, study rooms will be available.

A winter storm warning is in effect from 8 a.m. Wednesday to 8 a.m. Thursday, with heavy snow anticipated, according to the National Weather Service.

Good Friday will change from a holiday with no school to a school day operating as an early release day with alternate release times and no breakfast or lunch being served.
