Search On After Inmate Walks Away From Enfield Day Program: Cops

A 45-year-old inmate walked away from a day program at a community college on Saturday.

ENFIELD, CT — An inmate walked away from a day program in Enfield on Saturday, police said.

The inmate is identified as 45-year-old Christopher Somsky, according to Enfield Police.

Somsky walked away from a day program at Asnuntuck Community College, police said. The Connecticut State Police's Troop H is attempting to locate Somsky.

Anyone who sees Somosky should call state police at 860-534-1000. Police say anyone who sees Somsky should not approach or attempt to apprehend him.

According to information on the Connecticut Department of Corrections website, Somsky is serving a nine-year sentence for second-degree robbery. The DOC website notes that Somsky may also be serving time for additional charges.

He is an inmate at the Willard Cybulski Correctional Institution in Somers.
