Shoplifting Suspect Also Charged On Felony Warrant: Enfield PD
A man accused of stealing beer at an Enfield supermarket had been sought by police in connection with a September burglary and assault case.

ENFIELD, CT — A local man taken into police custody Tuesday following a sholifting complaint at a supermarket was also found to have an active warrant against him in connection with a violent burglary last fall, according to police.
Eric Snyder, 31, is accused of stealing two cases of beer from the Big Y World Class Market on Palomba Dr. shortly before 8 a.m. Tuesday. During an investigation, a warrant surfaced stemming from a September burglary at an Enfield residence, Deputy Chief Fred Hall said.
In the September incident, Snyder is accused of breaking into the home of a former girlfriend while she was sleeping, then choking her on top of her bed. Another resident interceded and was struck by Snyder, according to a police report.
