Snow Changes Enfield School Plans for Thursday

ENFIELD, CT — In anticipation of an expected winter storm Thursday, all Enfield Public Schools, Stowe Early Childhood Center, parochial schools, Head Start, CREC Public Safety Academy and ERFC School Age Centers will be closed Thursday, Feb. 9.

Enfield High School basketball games that had been scheduled for Thursday have been moved to Friday.

A Winter Storm Warning from the National Weather Service is in effect from 4 a.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday. A total of 8 to 12 inches of snow is expected, with the heaviest snow beginning early Thursday and lasting until the evening hours. Blowing and drifting snow is possible, the weather service states.
