Some More College Milestones Achieved By Enfield Students: Spring 2023

ENFIELD, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire. More great feats will be noted in the coming weeks.

American International College, Springfield MA

• AIC has awarded degrees to 364 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students in 2023. Graduates from Enfield were William Bannerman, Master of Science; Zachary Blatter, Master of Arts; Sarah Vincent, Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study; and Erin Chase, Bachelor of Science in nursing.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• More than 300 Eastern Connecticut State University students were recognized for scholarly excellence at the conclusion of the spring 2023 semester. Given by academic departments across the University, the recognitions included induction into more than a dozen academic honor societies, scholarship awards and departmental distinctions. Among those honored was Sarah Theriault of Enfield, a senior who majors in sociology and women's and gender studies. Theriault was honored at the Lavender Graduation award ceremony on April 14.

Plymouth State University, Plymouth NH

• Hannah Grossi of Enfield graduated from Plymouth State University during its 152nd Anniversary Commencement Ceremony on May 12, 2023. Grossi graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in criminaljustice.

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy NY

• Ashley Woodson of Enfield, who is studying computer science, has made the Dean's Honor List for the spring 2023 semester. Rensselaer's Dean's Honor List is compiled at the end of each semester to recognize undergraduate students who have completed 12 or more credit hours with a 3.5 grade point average or better for that term.

Russell Sage College, Troy NY

• Sara Kennerson and Sophie Veilleux, both of Enfield, were among more than 400 students named to the spring 2023 Dean's List at Russell Sage College. To be placed on the Dean's List for the semester, a student must earn a grade point average of 3.50 or higher while carrying a minimum of 12 credits in courses graded A-F, with no grades of Incomplete.

Sacred Heart University, Fairfield CT

• Erin Pellegrini, Emily Vandal and Jack Winans, all 2022 graduates of Enfield High School, made the Dean’s List for the spring semester at Sacred Heart University.

University of Nebraska, Lincoln NE

• Tom Braun of Enfield has been named to the Deans' List at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the spring semester of the 2022-23 academic year. Braun, a junior majoring in athletic training, was named to the Dean's List for the College of Education and Human Sciences.

University of Saint Joseph, West Hartford CT

• Five students from Enfield earned their way to the Dean's List for the spring 2023 semester. Students were awarded this academic achievement for having earned a GPA of 3.50 or higher for the semester, with no grade lower than a "B." Enfield students making the Dean's List were Jocelyn Badeau, majoring in nursing; Daemian Debidart, majoring in nutrition; Ava King, majoring in health science; Carrington Ruffin, majoring in nursing; and Brianna Viens, majoring in nursing.
