Spring Schedules to Be Pushed Back In Enfield
No games or scrimmages will be allowed until the end of spring vacation week, according to the superintendent of schools.

ENFIELD, CT — Spring sports schedules will be delayed until at least the end of April vacation in response to the coronavirus pandemic, according to information provided late Wednesday afternoon by Superintendent of Schools Chris Drezek.
In a letter to parents, staff and students posted on the Enfield Public Schools website, Drezek said at this time, there is "no indication that we will need to close schools." He also stated that effective immediately, "any school sponsored, out-of-state travel for students or staff will not be permitted. Additionally, all field trips and any school events where large groups are expected, such as athletic contests, music events, or theater performances will be canceled or postponed through April 17th."
In a phone interview with Patch, Drezek said spring athletic practices will begin as scheduled, but reiterated no games or scrimmages will be permitted prior to the end of the vacation week, slated for April 13-17.
