Kindergarten and First Grade Students Become First Readers

St. Bernard School FIRST READERS Are Awarded

On January 11th, 2016, kindergarten and first grade students from Saint Bernard School received First Readers certificates along with medals of recognition at a ceremony that took place at Enrico Fermi High School.

The First Readers Association of Enfield, CT is a program in the Enfield community that celebrates a key component of learning, which is reading. When students are able to successfully read appropriate books for their developmental level, he or she is named as a First Reader. Families are notified of this milestone, and students are then invited to the recognition ceremony.
