State Police Charge Enfield Man for Choking Incident With Woman
It was a domestic violence incident in Somers, state police said.

SOMERS, CT - An Enfield man was arrested this week on a warrant for domestic violence.
Stephen Saletnik, 28, of 7 Tabor Road, Enfield, was charged with risk of injury to a child, disorderly conduct, third-degree assault, second-degree strangulation and second-degree unlawful restraint, according to an arrest report.
Saletnik surrendered to Enfield police after learning that a warrant had been issued for his arrest and he was transferred to Troop C, state police said.

The warrant was issued for a May 18 incident, state police said. A day later a trooper was called to a home in Somers, where a woman said she had been beaten up. She then showed a trooper bruises on her arms and lip and said Saletnik assaulted her in front5 of her children, according to the warrant.
He is also accused of pushing her to the ground, then getting on top of her and applying a choke hold, according to the warrant.

The children told troopers they witnessed domestic violence, according to the warrant.
State police said Saletnik has had five prior arrests over the past decade on charges that include driving under the influence, resisting arrest, burglary and larceny, state police said.
The woman scratched Saletnik's neck while trying to free herself, according to the warrant.
