He pleaded guilty under the Alford doctrine to setting two blazes a little more than two years ago.

ENFIELD, CT — A local teenager charged with setting more than a half-dozen fires near his Elm Street home in 2014 and 2015 pleaded guilty under the Alford doctrine in Hartford Superior court Friday to starting two of those blazes.
Davidson Izzo, 18, was convicted of two counts of first-degree arson, in connection with barn fires at 383 Elm Street and 364 Elm Street between Nov. 2014 and Jan. 2015, the Journal Inquirer reported.
He will be sentenced March 31 to five years in prison, followed by five years of probation, according to the plea deal. The other pending arson charges against him will be dropped upon sentencing.
