Theresa Ann (Onofri) Mele, 74; Enfield Resident Who Loved to Play Bingo
Calling hours and a funeral service are planned for Wednesday, Dec. 17.

Theresa Ann (Onofri) Mele, 74, of Enfield, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford.
Born in Minerva, NY on July 15, 1940, daughter of Mildred (Morse) Onofri of Middletown and the late Frank Onofri, she was raised in Hartford and was a graduate of Mount St. Joseph Academy in West Hartford.

Theresa lived in the Hartford area before moving to Pennsylvania where she lived for over 10 years. While living in Pennsylvania she owned a jewelry business and frequented antique shows and flea markets where she bought and sold jewelry and antiques. She later retired to North Carolina and then Florida before moving to Enfield 12 years ago to be closer to her family.
Theresa loved to play Bingo and also never missed her favorite soap opera, General Hospital.

She leaves four sons, Robert Onofri and his wife Lisa of Hebron, Richard Onofri of Enfield, Edward Mele and his wife Kristine of Enfield, and Daniel Mele and his fiancé, Lisa Bessette of Chicopee, MA; two daughters, Donna Munoz and her husband Gary of Wappingers Falls, NY, and Lori Croneberger and her husband Robert Croneberger, Jr. of Newtripoli, PA; 15 grandchildren, Gregory Onofri, Faith Onofri, Becky Sutfin and her husband Rob, Mandy Wexler and her fiancé, Chris Peirano, Jacob Wexler, Emma Munoz, Derek Munoz, Lauren Schlichting, Robert Croneberger, III, Jessica Levesque and her wife Rachael, Addison Mele, Allycia Besner, Tia Mele, Vincent Mele, and Michael Mele; five great-grandchildren, Hayley Sutfin, Zack Peirano, Natalie Peirano, Lucas Gilley, and Jade Gilley.
Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 17, 4-5 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 5 p.m., at the Hayes-Huling & Carmon Funeral Home, 364 Salmon Brook St., Granby. Burial will be private.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., I-91 Tech Ctr., Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
