This Week In Enfield Government
A look at the top agenda items for this week's meetings.

Several major items will be discussed and/or voted upon by Enfield's governing bodies this week.
At Monday's Town Council meeting, Town Manager Matt Coppler will present his budget proposal for 2011-12. Mayor Scott Kaupin said Coppler was planning on finalizing the budget over the weekend, but in conversation with the manager last week, he was told there was no planned tax increase and no town layoffs. That meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall.
On Tuesday, the Board of Education will meet in the Council Chambers at 7:30 p.m. Chairman Greg Stokes said a decision is expected to be made about who will provide before- and after-school care for town students. The Enfield Child Development Center, Educational Resources for Children and the Hartford Region YWCA have all addressed the board in the past month, vying for the opportunity.
