Throwback Thursday: Do You Remember...

A look back at a landmark from Enfield's past.

ENFIELD, CT — In this periodic series, Enfield Patch remembers a business or landmark that is no longer in town through publication of old advertisements from some 1950s-1990s high school and junior high school yearbooks and 1960s to mid-1980s telephone directories.

A recent addition to the digital collection of the Enfield Historical Society on archive.org has been the reproduction of some junior high school yearbooks, some dating back to the 1920s.

Long before John F. Kennedy and Thaddeus Kosciuszko junior high schools were built, Enfield students attended the A.D. Higgins Junior High School on North Main Street. These two pages are from the 1957 edition of the yearbook, entitled The Tatler.
