Two Bank Robbery Attempts Made in Enfield

ENFIELD, CT — A bank was robbed and another heist was attempted at nearby financial institutions in Enfield late Saturday morning, police said.

Police responded to both the Peoples United Bank on Hazard Avenue and the Webster Bank on Freshwater Boulevard, Lt. Larry Curtis said.

One of the robberies was successful, while the other was not. Curtis said he did not yet have information as to which of the attempts was successful.

The two locations are about a half-mile apart.
