Varsity Schedules Set to Begin in Enfield

ENFIELD, CT — Schools are all now back in session throughout Connecticut, and athletic teams have been practicing for nearly two weeks. Looking forward, opening day for Enfield High School and CREC Public Safety Academy varsity squads is literally just around the corner.

Here are the scheduled regular season openers for the high school teams:

ENFIELD HIGH SCHOOL

• boys soccer - Friday,. Sept. 8 vs. E.O. Smith, 3:45 p.m.
• girls soccer - Friday, Sept. 8 at E.O. Smith, 3:45 p.m.
• girls volleyball - Friday, Sept. 8 vs. E.O. Smith, 6 p.m.
• football - Friday, Sept. 8 vs. Manchester, 7 p.m.
• girls swimming - Monday, Sept. 11 at Newington, 4 p.m.
• cross country - Tuesday, Sept. 12 at East Catholic (with Tolland), time TBA
• field hockey - Tuesday, Sept. 12 vs. Conard, 3:45 p.m.

CREC PUBLIC SAFETY ACADEMY

• boys soccer - Friday, Sept. 8 at Goodwin Tech, 3:45 p.m.
• girls soccer - Friday, Sept. 8 at Prince Tech, 3:45 p.m.
• girls volleyball - Friday, Sept. 8 vs. Prince Tech, 5 p.m.
• football - Friday, Sept. 8 at Plainfield, 6:30 p.m.
• cross country - Tuesday, Sept. 12 at Innovation (with Aerospace), 3:45 p.m.
