Veterans Day Parade in Enfield Slated For Sunday

The traditional 2-mile walk down Route 5 to Town Hall is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

ENFIELD, CT — Military veterans, local dignitaries, school bands, community organizations and many other marchers will be featured in the annual Enfield Veterans Day Parade, which is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 12 beginning at 1 p.m.

The traditional parade route down Enfield Street begins at the Felician Sisters grounds and ends at Town Hall, a distance of two miles.

Beginning at noon. Route 5 between South and Post Office roads will be closed for setup of the parade. During the parade, Route 5 will be closed from Post Office Road to Alden and Belmont avenues. No traffic will be allowed on this route during the parade, which is expected to last more than an hour.

Enfield Street will be staffed by police officers, and cones and barricades will be utilized to direct traffic as needed.
