Victim Identified In Fatal Car Vs. Pedestrian Crash In Enfield

Police released the name of the deceased man Monday morning.

ENFIELD, CT — Police have identified the person who was killed in a car vs. pedestrian crash Saturday night on Enfield Street, near the intersection with Broad Leaf Lane.

Police Chief Alaric Fox said Robert Hubbard, 65, was struck by a 2012 Hyundai Sonata around 7:20 p.m. Saturday. He was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, where he was pronounced dead.

An address provided by Fox indicates Hubbard lived in a house directly across from the crash scene.

No charges have been filed, and the accident remains under investigation.
