ENFIELD, CT — A man and woman found inside an Alden Avenue apartment "with significant trauma" died, and an Enfield woman who was at the scene despite a full protective order was arrested, according to police.

Police have identified the victims as James Samuel Bell, 63, and Maryrose Riach, 72.

Around 6:34 p.m., police received a 911 call asking for a well-being check at 17-B Alden Avenue. Upon arrival, officers observed a victim in distress and made forced entry into a second floor apartment, where they located Bell and Riach, according to a news release.

Emergency medical personnel pronounced Bell dead at the scene. Riach was taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, where she died from her injuries, police said.

Inside the apartment was Harlee Swols, 22, who had been the subject of a prior incident that led to a full protective order. She was charged with violation of a protective order, with bond set at $1 million, and is slated to be arraigned Monday in Hartford Superior Court.
