The Wait Is Over -- Chick-fil-A Opens in Enfield
100 lucky residents received a year's worth of meals after camping out overnight in the parking lot.
At 6 a.m. Thursday, the long, cold wait was over for the 100 people camped out in the parking lot of the new Chick-fil-A restaurant on Hazard Avenue.
The doors of the restaurant opened and the 100 people — wearing Chick-fil-A T-shirts and caps — filed into the restaurant where they were greeted by the staff and presented with digital gift cards entitling them to a year’s worth of meals at the eatery that’s known for its chicken sandwiches and biscuits.
A company spokesman said the 100th person joined the queue at 3:30 a.m. Thursday.
