Wrong-Way Driver Arrested on I-91 in Enfield
The incident took place Sunday morning, state police said.

ENFIELD, CT - State police intercepted a wrong-way driver on Interstate-91 in Enfield early Sunday morning after receiving several calls about the man from passing motorists.
The driver was identified by state police as Earl Davis, 45, of Bloomfield. He was spotted in the left-hand lane by other drivers heading south on the northbound side of the highway at 3:28 a.m., state police said. Troopers found Davis stopped on the left-hand shoulder and he then failed a series of standardized field sobriety tests. according to an arrest report.
Davis was charged with reckless driving, driving under the influence and traveling the wrong way on a divided highway, according to an arrest report.

He posted a $1,000 bond and was released from custody with a court date of Aug. 9, state police said.
