2 Accused Of Armed Carjacking In Fairfield: Police
The incident occurred Wednesday afternoon in the parking lot of TJ Maxx at 425 Tunxis Hill Cutoff.
FAIRFIELD, CT — Two men were arrested on charges of first-degree robbery in Fairfield, after police said they carjacked a BMW from a victim at gunpoint in the parking lot of the TJ Maxx at 425 Tunxis Hill Cutoff.
No injuries were reported in the 1 p.m. incident, which police said began when the victim and the suspects met on an online platform and discussed a prearranged transaction to sell the vehicle, according to Fairfield Police Lt. Michael Paris.
However, when the three met in the parking lot, the two suspects "brandished firearms," took the victim's belongings and the car, Paris said in a statement.

"Thankfully, no injuries were sustained to the victim in the course of this robbery," Paris said. "We ask the public to use caution when dealing with internet sites which involve the sale of property. The Fairfield Police Department recommends conducting these transactions at the front of our headquarters, which will give police the opportunity to immediately intercede if anything criminal were to occur."
Arrested were Hartford resident Saviyon Dawson, 20, and Bloomfield resident Trevon Crowe, 25. Both were charged with:

Dawson was also charged with criminal possession of a firearm.
After the two drove off with the stolen car, the victim called police, and a short time later, the department also received a call that a BMW had been "abandoned in the middle of the roadway on Coolidge Street at Commerce Drive."
Two men, who police later determined were Dawson and Crowe, were then seen walking away from the vehicle, and were spotted at Enterprise Rent-a-Car on Commerce Drive. The pair were taken into custody in the rental facility.
"[Officers] later discovered the victim’s wallet and a firearm in the bathroom trash can, and an additional firearm hidden in the ceiling of the bathroom," Paris said.
Dawson and Crowe were both held in lieu of bail of $250,000 each, and are scheduled to be arraigned in Bridgeport Superior Court on Thursday.
