2022 Fairfield Sidewalk Sale & Street Fair Set For Saturday

More than 75 vendors are expected to participate in the event.

The following announcement is from the Fairfield First Selectwoman's Office:

FAIRFIELD, CT — First Selectwoman Brenda L. Kupchick wishes to remind the public that the Fairfield Sidewalk Sale & Street Fair will take place on Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., rain or shine. Select merchants will offer advance sales of discount merchandise beginning on Thursday, July 14th.

Over 75 vendors are expected to participate in Fairfield Center, setting up stands and offering a
variety of merchandise for sales along the Post Road from the Heritage Square Shopping Center
to the Promenade at the Brick Walk. Admission to the event, which is being co-sponsored by
the Town of Fairfield and the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, is free.

Sherman Green will feature an inflatable bounce house as part of a sponsored Kid’s Zone as well
as vendors, a strolling magician, and musical entertainment, including the Star 99.9 street team,
to appeal to the entire family. Members of the Fairfield Teen Theatre Company will also be
presenting at 11AM a preview of their upcoming stage production of “MAMMA MIA!”

This year’s event will feature live musical entertainment at multiple venues scattered throughout
the downtown. Musicians will be playing throughout the day at venues set up at the Brick Walk,
at Sherman Green, in front of the SHU Community Theater, and near the Fairfield University
Bookstore at 1499 Post Road.

Stop by the Experience Fairfield Tent on Sherman Green to pick up some free swag, while
supplies last, check out our limited edition commemorative posters, and for a chance to win a

And don’t forget, take a break from shopping and enjoy lunch or refreshments at one of several
restaurants downtown. Located on Unquowa Road, Catch a Healthy Habit is offering specials
on all juices and smoothies – great to take on the go while shopping! Old Post Tavern is offering
buy one, get one on house wines, house liquor and draft and bottled beer in the bar area only
from 3-6PM.

First Selectwoman Kupchick said, “I encourage residents to come and be a part of this fun-filled
event, which includes live musical entertainment at various venues within the downtown,
special menu offerings at our many wonderful participating restaurants, and fun activities for
children and families.”
