$25,000 Winning Scratch-Off Lottery Ticket Sold In Fairfield

A Fairfield resident is also the lucky winner, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A Fairfield resident is $25,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket she purchased locally, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On Tuesday, Cindy R. claimed a winning $1,000,000 JUMBO CASH ticket she bought at News Express on Tunxis Hill Road.

The Connecticut Lottery publishes partial winner information as public record, according to officials.

The game, which costs $10 per ticket, began in October, and as of Wednesday, two grand prizes of $1,000,000 remained unclaimed. Additionally, three second-place prizes of $50,000 were still unclaimed, and four third-place prizes of $25,000 have not yet been claimed.

More than 4 million game tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.42.
