6 Students From Fairfield Named U.S. Presidential Scholar Candidates

The national program recognizes students "who demonstrate ability and accomplishment in career and technical education fields."

FAIRFIELD, CT — Six students from Fairfield have been named candidates to be U.S. Presidential Scholars for 2023, a national program from the U.S. Department of Education that recognizes students "who demonstrate ability and accomplishment in career and technical education fields."

The program is available to high school seniors who are United States citizens or legal permanent U.S. residents, and who will graduate between January 2023 and August 2023.

Names of the candidates for the honor from Connecticut and other states were recently released, and the semifinalists will be announced in April. The list of U.S. Presidential Scholars for 2023 will be released in May.

The U.S. Presidential Scholars from Connecticut in 2022 were:
