The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:
I think it is important to grow our grand list by attracting businesses where permitted by zoning. Increasing business tax revenue would reduce the tax burden of all homeowners, including seniors, and while ensuring funding for the continued excellence of our Fairfield school system.
Critical differences between me and my opponents:
As an RTM Representative for 3 years and I have the experience and proven commitment to Fairfield. I have lived in Fairfield with my family for 14 years and for 4 years as a student at Fairfield University. I committed to raising my children here and I remember many years that this town was mismanaged because of corruption and partisan politics. I truly believe that you must know the recent history of a town to have the knowledge to make educated decisions to successfully move forward and avoid repeating the missteps of the past.
Accomplishments:
During my current term of office, I have worked with our State Representatives and residents to try to keep commercial interests, such as group homes, and out of residential areas. The matter is currently in the process of litigation at the State level.
Other issues:
I fully support the current administration's initiatives to modernize government, promote fiscal responsibility, ensure accountability and transparency, and support economic development while protecting our residential neighborhoods and environmental resources and advocate for our seniors and the academic excellence of our schools.
What else would you like voters to know about you?
Now more than ever, our town is facing many challenges - pandemic, fill pile, flooding, zoning rights - and leadership that is experienced, accountable, and transparent and committed to our town is critically important.
