Arrest Made In October Bank Robbery In Fairfield: Police

The robbery occurred on Oct. 10 at a TD Bank on the Post Road, according to authorities.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A 54-year-old New Haven man has been arrested by Fairfield police in connection with the robbery of a TD Bank on the Post Road in Fairfield on Oct. 10, 2022, authorities announced.

On Thursday, the department's Quality of Life Unit in the Detective Bureau arrested Vincent Jones at an apartment in New Haven, and charged him with second-degree robbery and fifth-degree larceny.

A convicted felon, Jones "has an extensive criminal history which include 47 previous arrests of Robbery, Burglary, Larceny, and drug charges," Fairfield police said.

He was developed as a suspect following an extensive investigation, which included releasing surveillance images from the incident.

"This is a great example of police work at its finest and could not be done without the help from the public," said Fairfield Police Lt. Michael Paris in a statement. "For that, we thank everyone who played a part in helping the police apprehend the suspect in this case."

Jones is being held in lieu of bail of $150,000, and he is scheduled to be arraigned in Bridgeport Superior Court on Friday.
