Wednesday, July 28

10:07 a.m., Division Avenue: Resident scammed, email used to create Zelle account, $2,120 withdrawn, Social Security number used to seek stimulus claim and unemployment benefits, under investigation.

3:44 p.m., Riverside Drive: Cash stolen from unlocked vehicle overnight, under investigation.

3:57 p.m., 400 block of Post Road: Bag of cash and checks taken from desk drawer between 1:15 and 2 p.m., under investigation.

Thursday, July 29

11:45 a.m., 100 block of Kings Highway Cutoff: Unresponsive 33-year-old man taken to hospital, arrested for being a fugitive from justice on an extraditable warrant out of Pennsylvania, $250,000 bond, police said.

3:25 p.m., 100 block of Reef Road: Traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a 70-year-old man with a warrant out of New Haven on charges of second-degree failure to appear in court and sixth-degree larceny, police said.

5:36 p.m., 1900 block of Post Road: Threatening phone call to business, caller said they had a gun and to count the money, determined to be phone scam.

Thursday, July 30

8:08 a.m., Commerce Drive: Rear window of vehicle smashed overnight, estimated more than $5,000 in carpentry tools stolen, under investigation.

1:33 p.m., 1200 block of Stratfield Road: Graffiti reported in bathroom, occurred about 6 p.m. July 29.

3:26 p.m., 500 block of Kings Highway Cutoff: Man tried to steal power drill but left it behind, departed in black BMW without plates, under investigation.

Friday, July 31

9:17 a.m., 1200 block of Post Road: Business entered overnight and ransacked, no signs of forced entry, no items reported missing, under investigation.

4:19 p.m., Lake Mohegan: Car window smashed, nothing stolen but items were moved, about $750 in damage, under investigation.

9:11 p.m., Durrell Drive: Person struck by BB but uninjured, incident happened on Unquowa Road bridge, black pick-up truck occupied by five males reported, under investigation.
