Two catalytic converters were stolen in short succession, and police found an encampment near New Hampshire Avenue.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Here are the arrest and incident logs for Nov. 15, as provided by the Fairfield Police Department.
Monday, Nov. 15
12:25 p.m., 2320 Black Rock Turnpike: A suspect was seen crawling underneath a black Honda near Panera Bread and stealing the car’s catalytic converter. The suspect vehicle was reported heading south on Black Rock Turnpike. A hotline was broadcast to surrounding towns and across the state. The incident is under investigation.

12:40 p.m., 240 Black Rock Turnpike: A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle parked behind the David Mac Hair and Color Group. The incident is under investigation.
12:41 p.m., 542 Kings Highway Cutoff: $4000 worth of roofing shingles and roofing paper were stolen from the Home Depot parking lot. Police say the incident occurred at 12:30 a.m. on Nov. 13. The incident is under investigation.

3:48 p.m., 160 block of New Hampshire Avenue: Police found a homeless encampment in the wooded area between New Hampshire Avenue and Kings Highway cutoff. Police report finding several belongings under a tarp and trash can. The Department of Public Works has been notified to remove the items. Follow-up visits will be conducted.
