Fairfield, CT — A body was found washed ashore along Fairfield Beach Road on Thursday afternoon, according to multiple reports.
News 12 Connecticut reports the body was discovered by two people walking along the beach around 2 p.m.
Investigators believe it is the body of a missing boater, according to News 12.

Bridgeport officials told NBC Connecticut the person was reported missing from Bridgeport on June 13.
Police have yet to positively identify the body.
