Boy Scout Troop 82 Congratulates Two New Eagle Scouts

Boy Scout Troop 82 recently celebrated the advancement of Jack Agonis and Chris Lukas to Eagle Scout status in Fairfield.

From BSA Troop 82 Fairfield: Boy Scout Troop 82, operating out of The First Congregational Church in Fairfield, CT recently celebrated the advancement of two new Eagle Scouts. Eagle Scout is the highest rank a Boy Scout can achieve. Jack Agonis, a senior at Fairfield ward High School, and Chris Lukas, a senior at Fairfield Ludlowe High School, were awarded Scouting’s highest rank at the Court of Honor held on Saturday, March 25th at the Fayerweather Yacht Club in Bridgeport.

In order to achieve the rank of Eagle, each Scout had to earn a minimum of 21 Merit Badges and show extensive leadership within their Boy Scout Troop and within their community by planning, developing and completing a community project. Jack’s project involved the development of a mobile application (app) that allowed visitors to Fairfield’s Olde Burying Ground to locate the graves of prominent citizens as well as provide detailed biographies and videos about their lives. For Chris’ project, he designed and installed a large playground graphic that allowed for a new game of his design that was accessible to all students including those with special needs.

With this latest rank advancement, Troop 82’s Eagle Scouts now count 126 since the Troop was founded in 1928.
