Why I Love Fairfield ~ Isabelle et Vincent French Bakery

There is the most amazing French bakery right on Post Road called , aptly named after the owners Vincent Koenig and his wife Isabelle.

Vincent and Isabelle moved to the United States in 2007 with their two children in tow. Their dream was to re-create their popular Strasbourg, France Patisserie here in America…and thank goodness they chose our very own town of Fairfield to do just that.  

And based on the last few Saturday mornings I have stopped by, the word has gotten out ….if you want a fresh fruit tart, a multi-grain baguette, or handmade (by Vincent!) truffles, pralines and both dark and milk chocolates that melt in your mouth, look no further. Everything I have tried here is delicious. I frequently pick up a couple of baguettes and a dessert before I go to a dinner party. They also have seasonal delicacies too, as well as speciality items made just for kids!

I often stop by on Saturday mornings with my girlfriends after our regular tag sale adventures. They have delicious fresh coffee, pastries and yummy authentic croissants and I always grab my absolute favorite cheese baguette with fresh herbs…it is so good, rarely does it make it home in-tact. I love this place.
