The incident occurred Tuesday night at the Wells Fargo on Black Rock Turnpike near Stillson Road, according to police.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A 24-year-old Bridgeport man was arrested by Fairfield police Tuesday on charges of first-degree assault and breach of peace, following a stabbing that injured another man, according to authorities.

Azael Morales-Osorio was arrested just after 7 p.m. near the intersection of Black Rock Turnpike and Stillson Road, after an officer saw him and another man "engaged in a physical dispute."

"The officer was able to successfully detain one male who was identified as the primary aggressor and armed with a razor blade style knife," said Lt. Michael Paris in a statement. "The second male was treated by responding officers until medical personnel could arrive."

Paris said the victim was transported to Saint Vincent’s Medical Center with stab wounds to his abdomen and extremities, and was listed in stable condition. The victim is expected to be released shortly, Paris added.

"A preliminary investigation revealed that this was a physical altercation between the two males which began in the parking lot of Wells Fargo located at 2115 Black Rock Turnpike," Paris said. "The dispute led to the roadway where Morales-Osorio brandished a razor blade striking the other male several times."
