Big Emotions, Big Reactions: Understanding What Your Child is Communicating (ages 4-8)
This workshop focuses on helping parents understand what is often underneath behaviors like meltdowns, shutdowns, and big reactions during transitions. Presenter Madison Friedman, Child Development & Self-Regulation Specialist, will explore why these moments happen from a developmental perspective and how behavior is often a child’s way of communicating they are overwhelmed, they are frustrated, or the skills they need are still developing. Parents will leave with a clearer framework for understanding their child, along with practical strategies they can use in everyday situations like morning routines, transitions, sibling or peer conflict, and emotional outbursts.
For parents and caregivers of children aged 4-8 years; registration is required.
