Car Crashes Through Wall At Fairfield Collision Center

There was a collision at a collision center Monday in Fairfield.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Firefighters responded Monday to a collision at a collision center.

The incident occurred when a car drove through a building on Linwood Avenue, the Fairfield Fire Department said in a Facebook post. Photos accompanying the post show a Mercedes-Benz sedan that appears to have crashed through a wall at the Fairfield Collision Center, 102 Linwood Ave.

"Upon arrival emergency responders found the driver still inside the motor vehicle with an unsecured precast concrete panel teetering nearby," the post said.

Emergency crews secured the 500-pound panel and escorted the driver safely away from the scene, according to the post. News12 Connecticut confirmed the driver was not injured.
