Cement Truck Driver Ticketed For Collision With Fairfield Railroad Overpass

Jefrey Padillia, 42, of Oakville, issued infraction for incident that shut down traffic for more than an house at Mill Plain Road.

The driver of the cement truck that collided with the Mill Plain Road railroad overpass and shut down traffic for more than an hour Monday, has been ticketed by police, according to the Fairfield Citizen.

The Citizen reports that Jefrey Padillia, 42, of Oakville, was issued an infraction for failure to obey State Traffic Commission signs and markings that warned of the low clearance (11 feet, 6 inches).

There were no injuries in the incident and inspectors from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority deemed that there was no structural damage to the overpass and the safety of the railroad tracks was not compromised, according to the Citizen.
