Elderly Couple Accused In Park Sex Bust Gets Charges Dropped

The octogenarian couple were arrested in connection with reports of sexual activity in a local conservation area.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Charges have been dropped against a Fairfield couple in their 80s who were arrested in connection with reports of sexual activity in a local conservation area, according to the Connecticut Post. Richard Butler, 82, and Joyce Butler, 85, were charged with breach of peace after being arrested Aug. 16. They were granted permission not to appear in court Tuesday, the Post reports.

In addition to the Butlers, four men between the ages of 62 and 75 were charged after Fairfield police conducted surveillance following complaints of lewd activity at the Grace Richardson Conservation Area at Congress Street and Morehouse Highway. Those cases are pending.
