Child Involved in Fatal Fairfield Domestic Incident Transferred to Rehab Facility: Report
Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident in which Christopher Andrews, 51, was fatally shot by police outside his home.

FAIRFIELD, CT – The youngest child, a 12-year-old boy, involved in last month’s early morning domestic violence incident in which Christopher Andrews was fatally shot by a police officer outside of his Mountain Laurel Road home, has been transferred from Yale-New Haven Hospital to a rehabilitation facility, according to the Connecticut Post.
The boy had been in critical condition following the Feb. 16 incident.
Kathleen Andrews, 50, was released from the hospital on Feb. 22. The couple’s 15-year-old son and 13-year-old daughter had also been released from the hospital earlier.

Christopher Andrews was fatally shot by Officer Sean Fenton in the driveway around 6 a.m. after police responded to an “extremely violent situation” in which the family members sustained significant injuries in the incident, according to initial police reports.

Andrews was shot after police said he failed to comply with orders to drop his weapon, which was reportedly a knife.
The family members sustained a variety of blunt trauma injuries and stab wounds during the assault.
The Post reports the family held a private funeral service for Christopher Andrews, 51, in New York City.
The community rallied around the family and a GoFundMe page was launched that raised $234,412.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
