Emily Hau for 132nd District State Representative
I’ve known Emily, her husband Bill, and their kids for over 10 years. She’s exceptionally intelligent, tenacious, and deeply committed to this community.
Emily combines vision with real pragmatism. She manages resources responsibly, focuses on measurable results, and understands how technology can make government work better. She’s blunt and direct - not a polished politician - and that’s a strength. She listens, builds consensus, and gets things done.
Those who know her personally see a warm, generous, and genuinely funny person who cares about people, not headlines.
Emily has earned my respect over a decade. I believe she deserves the chance to earn yours.

I am a physician and a resident of Fairfield writing to express my support for Cristin McCarthy Vahey for Representative in the CT House District 133.She is my neighbor, my friend, and an effective legislator who cares deeply for our community. As Chair of the Public Health Committee, Cristin has strengthened our laws regarding vaccination to protect our most vulnerable family members and neighbors, including improving access to vaccines for people who are uninsured. Cristin has also helped pass laws to ensure that mental health conditions are treated the same way as other medical disorders by insurance companies, increasing the chance that people will get the help they need when they need it.
Over her time in office, Cristin has also worked to address the big picture factors that worsen the cost of health care by passing legislation to create oversight of private equity in our hospitals and improve the certification process for health centers to better address cost, access, and quality in our health care.
In summary, Cristin has brought her experience to Hartford and helped protect our health in a multitude of ways. She is a wonderful listener, strong advocate, and truly authentic. I hope you will join me in voting for Cristin McCarthy Vahey on November 3 or during early voting.

The Goddard School®,a nationally acclaimed early childhood education franchise, is set to open its second location in Fairfield in January 2027, bringing the inquiry-based learning experience to even more local families. The Goddard School of Fairfield – Katona Drive is the second location for owner Kim Sherman, a local parent who has lived in the area for over 25 years.
Located at 60 Katona Drive, this 15,000-square-foot early childhood education center will have 15 classrooms to provide care for and educate approximately 185 students. Additionally, the school will add 40 teaching jobs to the community.
“As both an educator and a parent, I’ve seen firsthand how important the early years are in shaping who children become,” said Sherman. “Every child deserves an environment where they feel understood, supported and confident to explore the world around them. I’m excited to create a school where we can nurture each child’s individual strengths while partnering closely with families to give them the strongest possible foundation for the future.”
The new school will have two gymnasiums and multiple playgrounds. Additionally, the school will be equipped with hospital-grade sanitization equipment to ensure a healthy environment.
The Goddard School’s exclusive inquiry-based education program, Wonder of Learning®, embraces how children learn best—through their innate curiosity—because research confirms that when wonder leads, learning follows. Wonder of Learning features a cutting-edge curriculum developed by a diversely skilled group of educators, researchers, physicians, and early childhood experts, as well as built-in assessment of academic and social-emotional progress and family communication via a proprietary app.
Inquiry-based learning, which guides the Wonder of Learning curriculum, is a teaching and learning approach that focuses on the natural curiosity and sense of wonder children bring into the classroom. With teacher-guided inquiry topics, children learn about themselves and the world around them by exploring their interests, investigating concepts and asking questions.

Divorce doesn't come with a roadmap. So I built one.
Divorce mediation is a private, out-of-court process where you and your spouse make every decision together, with a neutral mediator as your guide. I work with families across Connecticut, in person or virtually.
When a marriage ends, the fear isn't just about paperwork. It's about your children, your home, your future, and whether any of it will be okay. That's the moment I built this practice for: a calm, structured path that keeps the people who matter most at the center of every decision.
The first conversation is free. Twenty minutes. No pressure, no commitment.
When you're ready, I'm here.

I am writing to share my strong support to elect Jennifer Leeper for another term as our state representative.
I have known Jenn for more than three years now. Over that time, I’ve had the opportunity not only to get to know her and her character, but also to see firsthand how effective she is as our state representative.
My husband and I first met Jenn when we reached out to her with concerns about United Illuminating’s proposal to install enormous transmission monopoles through our community. UI’s project would have a devastating impact on residents, businesses, historic resources, and ultimately, the economy of our town. It would require taking 19.25 acres of predominantly private property from homeowners, businesses, churches, the Pequot Library, and public spaces. Curiously, this was not mentioned in UI’s communications to the public or to our local leadership; it was buried in their 1,000+ page application package to the Siting Council.
Rather than simply accepting our concerns at face value or dismissing them, Jenn did what I believe a good representative should do: she listened, asked questions, and then did her own research. Within 48 hours, she came back to us having done her due diligence and confirmed that our concerns were well-founded. Not only did she affirm our understanding of the facts, but she also came back with a plan - who to contact and what to do next to mount an opposition.
With only three days to react, Jenn’s input and guidance were absolutely critical in enabling us—and the Town of Fairfield, with whom we shared the information and our legal filing—to formally intervene before the deadline.
That was the beginning of what has become a three-year collaboration to protect our Town - a fight that continues today. Jenn was there with us from the very start. She connected us with people who became critical resources, helped us navigate an incredibly complicated issue, and has worked alongside us ever since to advocate for our community. She also helped bring the rest of the Fairfield state delegation into the effort and, eventually, other legislators in Hartford, creating a stronger, coordinated effort on behalf of Fairfield and Bridgeport. In addition, she was instrumental in passing legislation to improve Connecticut’s utility siting process and strengthen protections for communities across our state.
What has impressed me most, however, is not any single position she has taken. It is how she works.
Jenn is a fantastic listener. She asks thoughtful questions. She is collaborative, curious, and willing to do the hard work of understanding a complex issue before deciding how best to act. And when she believes something matters to the people she represents, she rolls up her sleeves and gets to work.
Over the past three years, I have watched Jenn consistently bring that same focus and commitment to other important issues in Fairfield and across our state. She works incredibly hard, and she genuinely cares about making our community and Connecticut a better place.
In a time when politics can so easily become about division, I think it is important to recognize and appreciate the people who are willing to show up, listen to their constituents, learn about complicated issues, and work collaboratively to solve problems. We may not always agree on every issue, but we should expect our representatives to listen to us, work hard for us, and take their responsibilities seriously.
Jenn does that.
We are very fortunate to have her fighting for Fairfield and representing us in Hartford. I am proud to support her and grateful for the work she does on our behalf.
Regardless of party or political affiliation, I hope people will remember the most important thing we can do as citizens is vote.
Our local and state representatives have an enormous impact on our communities, and they deserve our attention, our engagement, and our participation in the process.
Sincerely,
Andrea Ozyck Southport resident Co-Founder, Sasco Creek Neighbors Environmental Trust, Inc. (SCNETI)
