Re-elect Cristin McCarthy Vahey for CT 133

I am a physician and a resident of Fairfield writing to express my support for Cristin McCarthy Vahey for Representative in the CT House District 133.She is my neighbor, my friend, and an effective legislator who cares deeply for our community. As Chair of the Public Health Committee, Cristin has strengthened our laws regarding vaccination to protect our most vulnerable family members and neighbors, including improving access to vaccines for people who are uninsured. Cristin has also helped pass laws to ensure that mental health conditions are treated the same way as other medical disorders by insurance companies, increasing the chance that people will get the help they need when they need it.

Over her time in office, Cristin has also worked to address the big picture factors that worsen the cost of health care by passing legislation to create oversight of private equity in our hospitals and improve the certification process for health centers to better address cost, access, and quality in our health care.

In summary, Cristin has brought her experience to Hartford and helped protect our health in a multitude of ways. She is a wonderful listener, strong advocate, and truly authentic. I hope you will join me in voting for Cristin McCarthy Vahey on November 3 or during early voting.
