Climbing For A Cause: 2nd Annual Step Up For The Brave Stadium Stair Climb Challenge on September 24

This popular community event raises funds for homeless veterans. Come support Homes for the Brave and honor our service men and women.

Homes for the Brave is excited to announce the 2nd annual Step Up For The Brave Stadium Stair Climb Challenge. This fun and challenging event will take place Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard, located at 500 Main Street in Bridgeport. To register, visit www.homesforthebrave.org/stepupforthebrave/

“We expect a great turnout from the community! This event challenges both body and mind, and we’re looking for hundreds of participants to join in this unique opportunity to raise funds for homeless individuals–most of whom are Veterans–to return to productive and meaningful lives,” said Vincent Santilli, CEO/Executive Director of ABRI/Homes for the Brave. “Whether you participate as the leader of a team, a climber, a virtual climber or as a sponsor, you’ll be helping to end homelessness.”

In this unique, vertical challenge, climbers will converge on a closed course of 1,000 stairs. Participants of all fitness levels are encouraged to create an individual climb goal and will have two hours to complete it. Stair climb events have become a “bucket list” item for runners and fitness enthusiasts around the world, and this event is great training for upcoming fall races.
