Comedy Show To Benefit Fairfield-Based Dog Rescue Group
'Pay It Furrward' features six stand-up comedians and raises funds for local canine crusaders. The event will take place Oct. 25.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A group of local stand-up comedians are coming together for a night of laughs to benefit the Fairfield-based Little Black Dog Rescue group. “Pay It Furrward,” (presented by Cause You Need A Laugh), a stand-up comedy show at The Seagrape Café (1144 Reef Road in Fairfield) will take place on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 8 p.m. and features six local “new-ish” stand-up comedians. Admission is free, but donations are strongly accepted and encouraged.
"Most people don’t understand black dogs are adopted less frequently than other dogs. We’re trying to change that,” said Amy Scarella, founder of Fairfield-based Little Black Dog Rescue. “The funds raised at this comedy show will support the care, shelter, feeding and health needs of the adoptable dogs in our organization today and tomorrow.
The group, which boasts more than 3,000 supporters on Facebook, has placed over 600 dogs since its launch in 2013. To sign up for Fairfield breaking news alerts and more, click here.
