Community Rallies Around Fairfield Teen Critically Injured in Crash
Friends have launched a GoFundMe account in support of Lee Faiga, who is in a coma.

The community is rallying around the Fairfield Warde student critically injured in a Wednesday morning crash on Knapps Highway and is in a coma at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
Friends have created a GoFundMe account on behalf of Lee Faiga, who was the passenger in the Jeep that crashed into a utility pole and snapped it in two places.
The page was created by Susanna Maj on Thursday to help the family with medical expenses and more than $30,000 has been raised by 500 people in three days, as of Sunday morning.

According to the page, the driver of the Jeep has been released from the hospital, “while Lee remains in a coma in the ICU.”
The teens left Fairfield Warde around 11 a.m. in a Jeep traveling at a “high rate of speed” westbound on Knapps Highway, according to NBC Connecticut. The Jeep skidded sideways when the driver tried to turn and smashed into the utility pole.
