Dancing Celebrity Tony Dovolani Organizes Golf Tournament on 9/6

Tony Dovolani, long time Connecticut resident and Dancing with the Stars Mirror Ball Champion will be hosting The Tony Dovolani Golf for Special Needs Children on Thursday, September 6th at the Patterson Club in Fairfield.

The event is being sponsored by Liberty Mutual Insurance as part of their invitational national series of amateur golf tournaments held throughout the country. Proceeds from this year’s event will be donated to The Kennedy Center’s Autism Project, the ASD Fitness Center and Dylan's Wings of Change.

The Kennedy Center’s Autism Project provides children 3-21 and their families with affordable, accessible and quality services in the Fairfield and New Haven Counties through various programs, social and recreational activities, behavioral services and family support, as well as information and referral services. ASD Fitness Center, located in Orange is a facility designed to specifically provide a safe, comfortable and structured environment for empowering individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Dylan's Wings of Change is a non-profit, youth-led organization whose mission is to help children with autism and other related conditions by teaching and promoting behavior that promotes inclusiveness within our schools, sports clubs, dance studios and more.

Over the past two years (2016, 2017) the Foundation raised more than $150.000. The 2016 funds were gifted to the Only You Foundation and the 2017 funds to The Kennedy Center's Autism Project. "I cannot thank my family, friends and community enough for making our first two golf tournaments a resounding success. I look forward to continually giving back to my community that has given me and my family so much. Being the parent of a special needs son has really opened my eyes to the myriad of challenges a family is presented with and the support needed." states Tony.

As in the past, the fun day of golf will culminate with a gourmet dinner at the Patterson Club followed by a show featuring Tony Dovolani and fellow Dancing With The Stars professional, Anna Trebunskaya, along with a team of professional dancers from the Dance With Me Studios. Golf package is $495 per golfer and includes Golf, Lunch, Dinner and the Show. Dinner and Show tickets only are $225 per person.
