Downtown Fairfield Farmers Market Set To Return
See the full lineup of farmers and producers featured in the second season of the market, which will be held weekly throughout the summer.

FAIRFIELD, CT — The Fairfield Farmers Market returns for its second season, beginning on Sunday, June 11. The market will be held every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine, throughout the summer until Oct. 1 on Sherman Green in downtown Fairfield and will feature items from more than 20 farms and food producers.
The Fairfield Farmers Market was started in 2016 by local restaurant owner Bill Auer in collaboration with Mark Barnhart and the Fairfield Economic Development Commission. (To sign up for Fairfield breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
“We are delighted to have the farmers market return to downtown Fairfield after a very successful inaugural season,” Barnhart, director of Community & Economic Development, said in a press release.

First Selectman Mike Tetreau said, “Folks love the farmers market and appreciate both the variety and high quality of the products. It’s a great way to support local farms, and it’s a fun community gathering at the same time.”

Five Connecticut farms, including Fairfield’s own Little River Farm, will have the freshest seasonal vegetables and salad greens around. You’ll find fresh fish from Rhode Island, pasture-raised beef, pork, and chicken, as well as goat and cow cheese. Whole G is back with their artisan breads and pastries, and Fairfield’s Riverside Baking Company will have muffins, cookies, scones, pies and tarts. Tasty Good Eats has all sorts of gluten free baked goods. Check off every item on your grocery list as the market will offer salami, pickles, local honey, fruit jelly & jam, olive oil and maple syrup. New to the market this year is Fairfield’s Carbon Chocolate Workshop featuring bean to bar organic chocolate confections. The family dog will be happy to hear Molly & Murphy Biscuits is back again this year, and Paul’s Custom Pet Food is a new vendor.

The Downtown market joins the Greenfield Hill Farmers Market, located at 65 Hillside Road, which is held Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., through the fall.
