Downtown Fairfield Property Sells For $1M; Will Be Law Office

FAIRFIELD, CT — The law firm of Meehan & Meehan will be relocating from Bridgeport to a new facility in downtown Fairfield.

The 2,500-square-foot property at 116 Sherman St. will be used for the firm’s practice after it was purchased by MTM Sherman Street LLC for $1.05 million, or $420 per square foot, according to a news release from commercial real estate firm Vidal/Wettenstein.

The building was previously occupied by the Rosemary Hallgarten Interior Design Group, which recently moved to a larger facility in Norwalk. The Meehan law firm has been practicing since 1961 and focuses on family law, criminal defense and civil litigation. The firm, which also has an office in Westport, has received many accolades, including being named a Connecticut Super Lawyer.

Bruce Wettenstein, SIOR and partner with Vidal/Wettenstein, was the listing broker, and Erika Portanova Songer of William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty represented the buyer.
