Election 2016 Results: Fairfield Vote Totals for President, U.S. Senate and Local Races
Full election results and numbers have been released for all races that Fairfield residents voted on.

FAIRFIELD, CT — On Election Night in Fairfield, town residents preferred Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump for president by a 17,859 to 12,024 vote.
Clinton earned 57.2 percent of the vote in Fairfield, Trump received 38.5, while Gary Johnson earned 978 votes, or 3.1 percent, and Jill Stein received 342 votes or 1.1 percent.
In the race for U.S. Senate, Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., amassed 18,301 votes on multiple lines and his opponent Dan Carter, a Republican, received 12,066 votes.

In the 4th U.S. Congressional District race, Democratic incumbent Jim Hines received 17,194 votes in Fairfield, while challenger John Shaban garnered 13,260 total votes on both the Republican and Independent Party lines.
In local races, incumbent Republican Tony Hwang won re-election in the 28th State Senatorial District, amassing 18,344 votes on multiple lines compared to 13,356 total votes for challenger Phil Dwyer.

State Representative Brenda Kupchick, a Republican, won re-election in the 132nd District with 7,949 total votes compared to 5,317 for Democratic challenger Dru Georgiadis.
In the 133rd District, incumbent Democrat Cristin McCarthy Vahey received 6,369 total votes while Republican challenger Raymond Neuberger garnered 4,407.
Republican Laura Devlin won re-election in the 134th District and received 4,298 total votes in Fairfield while Democratic challenger Frederick Garrity Jr. had 2,278.
Democrat Matt Waggner received 14,259 votes and Republican Steve Elworthy received 15,030 votes for registrar of voters.
