Fairfield Public Library Olympics Closing Ceremonies with Soccer Star Kristine Lilly

Meet soccer superstar and former Olympian Kristine Lilly at the Library Olympics Closing Ceremonies.  She will talk about her experiences as an Olympic athlete and present medals to the “Victorious Visitors.”  Lilly, who was just inducted into the U.S. Olympics Hall of Fame this summer, played for the U.S. in three Olympic games.  If you haven’t already, get your “Victorious Visitors” Card at the Children’s Services desk and get a stamp each time you visit the Library.  Depending on how many stamps you have received, you will be awarded a medal at the Closing Ceremonies.  This program takes place Friday, August 10, 3:30-4:30 pm at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road.

** Please note:  “Victorious Visitors” Cards must be turned in by 5 pm on August 9 to guarantee a medal at the ceremony. **  This is a drop-in event – no registration required.

Although the Library’s Summer Olympics will end with this event, there are still a few weeks of summer to go.  Keep on reading!
